This study discusses the possibilities and limitations of the political perspective that Sezai Karakoc advocates in his concept of civilisation. Karakoc, whose intellectual adventure is overshadowed by his poetry, has developed a systematics of ideas identified with the concept of resurrection (diriliş). A stable and consistent political line can be theoretically traced in his philosophical texts, which span years. In this way, he can be said to occupy a unique position in Turkish thought. Like many intellectuals, Karakoc was influenced by the political and social developments of the time in which he lived. He is distinguished from his contemporaries primarily by his ability to influence the period in which he lived intellectually through the line of thought he developed. Indeed, Karakoc, who presented the analysis of civilisation through the political interpretation of Islam and developed a unique state perspective with the concept of resurrection, influenced not only the political Islamism of the 20th century but also the political Islamism of Turkey and the centre-right flank in general. The thinker argues that theory not put into practice is an indicator of inadequacy and also engages in politics. With the Diriliş Party and the Yüce Diriliş Party founded under his leadership, he represents another political leadership and will hold the title of general chairman until his death. From this perspective, the study focuses on the political significance of the (Yüce) Diriliş Party on Karakoc's conceptual axis. For this purpose, the author's most influential works on politics were consulted. Likewise, the programme and statutes of the Diriliş Party and the Yüce Diriliş Party were examined, and the collections containing Karakoc's party speeches were scanned. The ultimate goal of the study is to determine the relationship between Karakoc's conception of civilisation and the state perspective. Thus, the reaction of the (Yüce) Diriliş Party in Turkish politics is analysed in light of utopian and realist insights.
Bu çalışma, Sezai Karakoç’un medeniyet tasavvurundan hareketle ortaya koyduğu siyaset perspektifinin imkân ve sınırlarını tartışmaya açmaktadır. Entelektüel serüveni şairliğinin gölgesinde kalan Karakoç, diriliş kavramsallaştırmasıyla özdeşleşen bir fikir sistematiği geliştirmiştir. Yıllara yayılan fikrî metinlerinde teorik düzlemde istikrarlı ve tutarlı bir siyasal çizgiyi takip etmek mümkündür. Bu bağlamda Türk düşün dünyasında nevi şahsına münhasır bir konumu bulunduğu ifade edilebilir. Birçok aydın gibi yaşadığı dönemin siyasal ve toplumsal gelişmelerinden ziyadesiyle etkilenen Karakoç’u çağdaşlarından ayıran hususlardan belki en önemlisi, geliştirdiği düşün çizgisiyle içerisinde bulunduğu dönemi fikrî yönde etkileme kapasitesinden ileri gelir. Nitekim İslâm’ın siyasal yorumundan beslenerek medeniyet tahlilini ortaya koyan ve diriliş mefhumuyla kendine özgü bir devlet perspektifi geliştiren Karakoç’un Türkiye özelinde 20. yüzyıl siyasal İslâmcılığı ve genel olarak merkez sağ cenah üzerinde etkisi hissedilir. Pratiğe dönüşmeyen teorinin bir eksiklik göstergesi olduğunu savunan mütefekkir, siyasete de dâhil olur. Öncülüğünde kurulan ve ölümüne kadar genel başkanlık sıfatını taşıyacağı Diriliş Partisi ve Yüce Diriliş Partisi ile farklı bir siyasal lider portresi çizer. Buradan hareketle çalışmada, Karakoç’un düşün dünyası ekseninde (Yüce) Diriliş Partisi’nin siyaseten taşıdığı anlama odaklanılmaktadır. Bu hedef doğrultusunda yazarın siyasal düşüncesini merkeze alan kitaplarından yararlanılmıştır. Ek olarak parti programları ve tüzükleri incelenmiş, Karakoç’un parti konuşmalarının yer aldığı derlemeler taranmıştır. Çalışmanın nihai amacı Karakoç’un medeniyet tasavvuru ile devlet perspektifi arasındaki ilişkinin tespiti üzerine kuruludur. Böylelikle (Yüce) Diriliş Partisi’nin Türkiye siyasetinde bulduğu karşılık ütopik ve realist bulgular ışığında analiz edilecektir.
